Job Description

A clinical-stage biotech company focused on autoimmune diseases is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Clinical Development to lead execution and oversight of a global Phase III study. This role includes full medical monitoring responsibilities, site engagement, and cross-functional leadership to ensure timely delivery of high-quality clinical data. The position collaborates closely with clinical operations, safety, and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of a global Phase III trial, including clinical oversight and site engagement in collaboration with clinical operations

• Act as Medical Monitor, overseeing patient eligibility, safety labs, imaging, and efficacy/treatment failure data

• Conduct systematic reviews of aggregate clinical data and take timely action as needed

• Provide direct clinical guidance to investigators and external partners on protocol adherence and trial conduct

• Ensure study progress aligns with key performance and quality metrics

• Partner with safety and pharmacovigilance teams to manage and report adverse events

• Participate in investigator meetings and contribute to protocol development and other regulatory documents

Required Skills

• MD, DO, or equivalent, with training or experience in rheumatology or neuroinflammation preferred

• 4+ years in clinical development with medical monitoring experience

• Background in small biotech and experience managing large Ph III, global trials

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally for study and company meetings
