Job Description
The Hattie Chung Lab at Yale School of Medicine seeks a highly driven and creative postdoc to investigate the dynamics of tissue remodeling in ovarian aging and cardiovascular disease. We seek scientists excited to work across disciplines—from machine learning to cutting-edge experimental techniques, applied to patient samples and mouse models—in a collaborative, supportive research environment.
Potential research areas include:
- Dissecting the role of the immune system in ovarian remodeling, and its dysregulation in aging and under metabolic dysfunction
- Investigating the effects of obesity and metabolic dysfunction on ovarian function
- Examining vascular disease from patient samples
- Testing therapeutic interventions for ovarian aging and cardiovascular disease

Qualifications
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in either experimental biology, computational biology, or both.
Required:
- Ph. D. (or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Systems Biology, or related discipline
- At least one first-author publication in the basic sciences (published or under review). Less can be more – we prefer someone who has successfully led a substantial project, rather than many small papers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience:
- Single-cell and/or spatial genomics technologies
- Next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques
- Computational analysis of genomic data
- Working with mouse models of disease
- Flow cytometry and related cell isolation techniques
