Postdoctoral Fellow or Associate Scientist Position – Stem Cell and Neurodevelopmental Research
The Peng Lab in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a motivated and self-driven postdoctoral fellow or associate scientist with a strong foundation in cell biology and biochemistry. We are a collaborative and dynamic research team dedicated to uncovering fundamental mechanisms of stem cell biology and the etiology of pediatric brain diseases. We utilize cutting-edge approaches to study gene regulation, epigenetics, and signaling pathways, with the long-term goal of informing therapeutic strategies.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or neuroscience.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: gene regulation, stem cell biology, signaling pathways, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- A team-oriented mindset with scientific curiosity and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead aspects of research projects and laboratory experiments.
- Innovate and optimize molecular and cellular techniques.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot technical issues.
- Organize, maintain, and ensure the integrity of research data.
- Contribute to manuscript writing and presentation of findings.
