Job Description
Seeking an entrepereneurial finance leader who is looking capable of providing a broad range of support for a profitable, small, earlier-stage, biopharma professional services organization.
In this key leadership role you will
Responsibilities
· Develop and oversee the financial strategy and build on the company's success
· Establish financial controls and expand on implemented finance and accounting procedures
· Provide solutions-oriented recommendations on increasing revenue and reducing costs
· Implement plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attainted
· Oversight and preparation of monthly and annual financial plans, budgets and FP&A reports
· Coordinate and produce all financial and tax documentation required by our external CPA partner
· Serve as primary point of contact with leadership and CPA firm
· Prepare corporate filings annual reports census, forecasts
· Prepare the annual operating budget, monthly updated forecast, and variances to actuals analysis
· Lead all day-to-day general accounting and finance activity including A/P, A/R, expense reports processing, corporate credit cards reconciliation, bank statement reconciliation
· Further develop and administer the company's LTI plan and provide employee participant updates in concert with external counsel
· Perform other duties such as assesmsnt of financing options, Lines of credit, assesmsnt of dillutive funding and or mezzanine capital.
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
· Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred), capable of both tactical and strategic accounting and finance activity.
· 10+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably for a service organization
· Proficiency with Quickbooks, timetracking software strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office
· Exceptional communications skills; solutions-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
· Strong work ethic and strong collaborator in a team setting; ability to multitask and work well with all employees
· Strong analytical, organizational skills, and critical thinking ability able to operate independently
· Willingness to “roll-up sleeves” when necessary to help perform important reconciliations
· Experienced in collaboration with outside CPA firm to ensure all financial and tax reporting deadlines are timely met
