Job Description
The Senior Scientist in Radiopharmaceutical Development will focus on radiolabeling and analyzing proprietary radiopharmaceuticals in a Boston-based R&D lab. This role also supports global development efforts, including formulation and stability testing. Reporting to the Executive Director of Radiopharmaceutical Development, the position is a key part of the CMC team, contributing to multiple programs and collaborating across functions to ensure robust manufacturing and QC protocols. The title will be finalized based on experience, and the role requires full-time on-site work.
Responsibilities
* Develop, refine, and validate radiolabeling and quality control procedures for preclinical and early clinical applications. * Contribute to creating laboratory operational protocols and support daily lab activities, including adherence to radiation safety standards. * Prepare detailed development reports to facilitate technology transfer. * Embrace new challenges and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making to advance innovative therapies to the clinic. * Uphold high standards of scientific rigor, teamwork, excellence, and innovation in alignment with organizational goals.
Required Skills
* PhD in chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience in radiochemistry, with a focus on radiometals. * Experience with radiotherapeutics is highly preferred. * Background in peptide and small protein chemistry is desirable. * Strong project management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. * Passion for contributing to a mission-driven organization that aims to transform patient care. * A blend of private and public company experience is a plus. * Demonstrates clear, transparent communication and fosters open, diverse discussions. * Able to adapt to changing conditions and manage uncertainty effectively. * Exhibits positive energy and respect in all interactions.
