Job Description

The Department of Research and Translational Medicine is seeking a Senior Scientist, Non-clinical Pharmacology/Immunology. This position will be a critical lab-based role designing and executing immunology assays defining the pharmacology of lead antibody candidates. This role will report into the Senior Director of Non-clinical Pharmacology.


  • Lead the lab through the development and execution of preclinical pharmacology immunoassays & models evaluating therapeutic antibody candidates
  • Critically analyze and interpret data and make frequent presentations at internal and external meetings
  • Develop and maintain lab best practices (data generation, reporting, safety, lab operations)
  • Mentor, influence, and oversee junior scientists and research associates
  • Author and review reports in support of IND filings
  • Collaborate with scientists across different groups and functional areas to generate data to support programs in discovery and development
  • Work collaboratively across the organization and manage vendors and CRO partners

Required Skills

  • PhD degree in immunology or related field with 2-6 years of experience or M.Sc. with 5-10 years of experience developing therapeutic antibodies
  • Broad expertise developing complex in vitro and ex vivo immunoassays including, mixed-lymphocyte reaction, immune cell phenotyping, immune cell isolation and differentiation
  • Experience with inflammatory disease therapeutics desired  
  • Excellent management skills to prioritize activities in order to meet critical timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Experience setting up a new lab is a plus

The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $165,000-$175,000/year. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
