Job Description
Our client is looking for a Research Associate to join their team and contribute to the development and discovery of next-generation gene therapies for kidney disease. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-impact translational research within an early-stage, fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience in a wet lab setting, a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and is capable of juggling several different tasks/responsibilities concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, bacterial culture, Western Blot, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing.
- Prepare and characterize AAVs for in vivo injections.
- Perform mammalian cell culture and transfections to validate therapeutic candidates.
- Document, compile, and analyze experimental data.
- Present findings at team meetings and conferences.
- Be involved in conversations with investors, clinicians, and other external partners.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (in biology, chemistry, or related field) or 0-2 years experience.
- Highly motivated and passionate about working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with AAV or CRISPR-Cas gene editing is preferred
- Hard working and positive attitude.
