Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate with drug discovery experience in cancer biology to join our expanding Biology team. The successful candidate will apply a variety of molecular and cell biology techniques to support and drive forward research programs. She/he will work as part of a project team to develop and a implement cell-based screen system to facilitate the screening and development of novel CPMP-based therapeutics for cancer and other diseases with unmet medical needs.


  • Develop cell-based screening assays using NanoBit, NanoBret or HiBit
  • Perform cell-based assays to evaluate drug activity and mechanism
  • Perform biology target validation using shRNA/CRISPR or compounds to assess their effects on cancer cells
  • Implement multi-color flow cytometry to address key questions and drive the drug discovery process
  • Accurately record, analyze, and present data to team and company leadership
  • Collaborate across functional teams to efficiently identify drug candidates and move them to the clinic

Required Skills

  • B.S. or M.S. in cell biology, biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with shRNA/CRISPR design and cell engineering and multi-color flow cytometry
  • Strong expertise in cancer cell biology, drug discovery approaches
  • Experience in cell based assay development is a plus
  • Innovative, creative, inquisitive, motivated researcher with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to advance new scientific understanding
  • Demonstrated success in working on a cross-disciplinary, drug discovery project team; integrating and evaluating the work of multiple drug discovery groups / functions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
