Job Description

The Senior Director of Pharmacology, Bioanalytical Sciences, and DMPK will lead and execute our R&D strategy under the Head of Nonclinical Development. Responsibilities include overseeing Discovery and In Vivo Pharmacology, ADME, PK/PD Modeling, Colony & CRO Management, Toxicology, Pathology & Safety. Key partnerships with nonclinical development, regulatory, clinical biomarkers, and clinical pharmacology are essential. This role involves hiring, developing, and mentoring scientific talent, fostering innovation, and contributing to portfolio oversight and talent growth within the Nonclinical Development team.


* Lead Pharmacology, BA, and DMPK teams. * Design, execute, and interpret studies for programs. * Balance internal capabilities vs. outsourcing. * Integrate nonclinical and clinical findings. * Support Tech Ops and regulatory interactions. * Foster relationships with KOLs and researchers. * Drive transparency and risk management. * Manage conflicting priorities and seek solutions. * Guide business development and due diligence.

Required Skills

* Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences with 10+ years of relevant experience in toxicology, pharmacology, or related fields. * Track record of contributions to patents, INDs, regulatory interactions, in-licensing deals, and publications. * Experience designing PK/PD studies, including large animal studies. * Skills in building and managing collaborations with CROs, consultants, and pharmaceutical partners. * Effective communication internally and externally, managing multiple programs and prioritizing milestones. * Focus on product development and IND-enabling preclinical studies. * Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach.
