Job Description
Seeking a self-motivated in vivo scientist to support gene editing research across multiple disease areas. Their work will contribute directly to the development of gene editing therapies.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute in vivo studies.
- Administer treatments via various routes in mice, monitor health, and collect tissue samples.
- Support new animal model validation.
- Extract DNA and RNA from tissues.
- Perform in vitro assays (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, qPCR).
- Work with cell culture in primary cells and cell lines.
- Analyze data with FlowJo, Excel, and GraphPad Prism.
- Follow IACUC protocols and SOPs.
- Coordinate in vivo research in a matrixed environment and with external partners.
Required Skills
- BA/BS or MS with 5+ years of biotech/pharma experience
- Proficient in necropsy and rodent handling with various administration routes
- Preferred experience in hematology/immunology models
- Skilled in ELISA, flow cytometry, qPCR, and cell culture
- Experienced in electronic lab notebooks and protocol adherence
- Familiar with Excel, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and PowerPoint
- Eager to learn Prime Editing technology
- Strong team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Adaptable and efficient in fast-paced environments.
