Job Description
Responsibilities
– Design and develop in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays utilizing a variety of techniques to evaluate drug candidate activities for drug discovery. – Collaborate with pharmacology scientists to support endpoint sample analysis or establish new cellular assays. – Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and generate actionable insights to help drive project decision-making. – Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with colleagues in groups such as antibody discovery or protein science. – Keep meticulous records of experiments performed and maintain electronic lab notebook entries. – Provide regular progress updates and present data at internal team meetings.
Required Skills
– PhD or equivalent experience in Molecular or Cellular Biology, Pharmacology (or related field of study) – Expertise in mammalian cell culture (cell lines and primary cells). – Hands-on experience with cell-based assay (e.g. cell binding, reporter cells, survival, permeability, hepatotoxicity, internalization, and cytokine secretion assays). – Proficiency in cell biology techniques such as flow cytometry, Luminex/MSD, organoid modeling, and retinal/corneal cell cultures – Hands-on expertise in advanced/multi-color panel design and analysis in flow cytometry (conventional and/or spectral) is required. – Knowledge of analysis/statistical software (e.g. GraphPad Prism) is required. – Background in ophthalmology and/or Fibrotic Nashis preferred. – Experience with compound profiling is preferred. – Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, flexibility, proactive willingness and desire to engage in the laboratory workflow. – Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, a creative and solution-oriented mindset, and a deep passion for goal-oriented science. – Sound oral and written English is a must, with clear scientific writing ability.
