Job Description

Looking for a skilled Scientist to join our guide RNA chemistry team. This role involves synthesis, purification, and downstream processing of long guide RNA to support gene editing drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate will work independently or in a team to enhance our internal RNA synthesis capabilities. Key skills include working in a fast-paced environment and collaboration.


* Purify and analyze long guide RNA with chemical modifications using techniques like HPLCs, UPLC, LCMS, etc. * Design and execute solid-phase synthesis of long guide RNA with various chemical modifications using automated synthesizers. * Develop methods for synthesis, purification, and analysis of long oligonucleotides and their conjugates. * Operate and maintain laboratory equipment like HPLC systems, AKTA purifier, UPLC, LCMS, etc. * Track progress, communicate updates, and present data at meetings. * Prepare SOPs, organize data, and maintain an electronic lab notebook. * Prepare buffers for RNA purification and analysis. * Conduct experiments safely in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

* Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with industry or academic experience, or M.S. in Chemistry with lab experience, or BS/BA in Chemistry with significant lab experience. * Expertise in oligonucleotide purification using chromatography techniques. * Strong analytical skills with LCMS, UPLC, and other methods. * Experience in solid-phase synthesis using automated systems. * Proficient in lab equipment handling and maintenance. * Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities. * Background in nucleic acid chemistry and drug discovery. * Able to work independently and in teams, adaptable to fast-paced environments. * Skilled in data analysis and electronic lab notebook (ELN) usage. * Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
