Job Description

A field-based business development position, with a territory focus around Boston, Cambridge, and Massachusetts. Solid technical knowledge in biology, molecular biology, and related data anaylsis will be essential. A great opportunity to be highly involved in consulting with customers and influence key decisions on technology and service choices. Build a successful account and territory plan and translate territory strategy into business results.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate technical credibility in consulting with customers on technology solutions Demonstrate strong prospecting and closing skills Commitment to rigorous territory planning, market knowledge, and accurate and timely forecasting Develop and manage a business plan to meet or exceed business goals for the territory Understand scientific project needs and business needs of the customer Consistently and accurately manage sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking Utilize product and application knowledge across the portfolio to successfully conduct selling presentations

Required Skills

– Bachelors, Masters, or advanced educational degree within a related life science field – 3+ years in industry selling capital equipment, consumables, and/or related lab equipment & products – Previous experience running full lifecycle sales from lead generation to agreement finalization
