Job Description

Research Associate/Research Assistant positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Lu Wang in the Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies, Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology at UT Health San Antonio. We are investigating epigenetic regulation in aging and age-related diseases, with a focus on understanding the regulation of three-dimensional genome organization, DNA and histone modifications in aging, metabolic disorders, and cancer. Our group is supported by funding from NIH and CPRIT.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in mouse models, cell culture, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Previous experience in genomics/epigenetics, computational biology are preferred but not required. Position Requirements
B.S. degree in a relevant field is required. A Master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, computational biology or related disciplines, is preferred but not required. Preferred qualifications include experience with animal work, cell culture, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, and/or bioinformatics. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, creative, and collaborative. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about research and committed to advancing the field of aging and age-related diseases.
