Job Description

The Technician/Associate I role entails providing support for ongoing research. The individual selected for this position will work under the supervision of a designated supervisor and will be responsible for performing a diverse range of laboratory-related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive literature reviews
  • Collecting and analyzing data obtained from experiments
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of data and subjects
  • Summarizing experimental procedures and findings
  • Facilitating easy access to experimental data for the research team and supervisor
  • Identifying and procuring necessary equipment and supplies for the project
  • Managing and responding to project-related emails
  • Preparing articles, reports, and presentations
  • Monitoring the availability and condition of project reagents and materials
  • Performing RNA/DNA isolation from cells or tissues
  • Conducting PCR, qRT-PCR, and other basic molecular biology techniques
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Completing experiments, analyzing data, and delivering results in a timely manner
  • Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Paying meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrating exceptional organizational abilities
  • Managing multiple tasks and effectively prioritizing work assignments

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the biological sciences (or experience in biology research)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and complete experiments, analyze data and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required
  • sterile tissue culture experience preferred

Salary range: $50,000-$60,000K annually
