Job Description
The Technician/Associate I role entails providing support for ongoing research. The individual selected for this position will work under the supervision of a designated supervisor and will be responsible for performing a diverse range of laboratory-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive literature reviews
- Collecting and analyzing data obtained from experiments
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of data and subjects
- Summarizing experimental procedures and findings
- Facilitating easy access to experimental data for the research team and supervisor
- Identifying and procuring necessary equipment and supplies for the project
- Managing and responding to project-related emails
- Preparing articles, reports, and presentations
- Monitoring the availability and condition of project reagents and materials
- Performing RNA/DNA isolation from cells or tissues
- Conducting PCR, qRT-PCR, and other basic molecular biology techniques
- Working collaboratively as part of a team
- Completing experiments, analyzing data, and delivering results in a timely manner
- Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Paying meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrating exceptional organizational abilities
- Managing multiple tasks and effectively prioritizing work assignments
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the biological sciences (or experience in biology research)
- Ability to work as part of a team and complete experiments, analyze data and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required
- sterile tissue culture experience preferred
Salary range: $50,000-$60,000K annually
