We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Lab Manager to join our operation team at US location to support the discovery and development of novel T cell therapies.This individual will partner with R&D teams and will be responsible for designing and executing projects which advocate for R&D operational needs across all business functions. A successful individual in this role will work directly on the company’s highest priorities and will be celebrated for contributing to Matterhorn’s effort to develop novel therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the R&D laboratory operations and serves as primary point of contact and for all R&D personnel and other cross functional groups
  • Design and execute projects to support company priorities. Projects may include Lab space building, rearrangement, equipment or instrument maintenance and consumables inventories.
  • Lead projects as a manager of a cross-functional initiative or as an individual contributor
  • Interact regularly with scientists including upper-level managers, employees of all levels, and external partners
  • Document, summarize, and present R&D lab operation SOP to internal stakeholders

Required Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
  • >5 years of experience in R&D lab operation and facility management
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with potentially minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • A capable, results-driven team-player motivated by contributing to Matterhorn and its mission
  • Someone who thrives in a start-up environment and has a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude to achieve desired results
