Job Description

A position is immediately available for a Quality Control (QC) Associate to perform QC testing, data analysis, environmental monitoring, and related QC tasks. The incumbent will also collaborate with the development group in developing new assays and analytical methods. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who are capable of supporting QC work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC analysis testing on current products to support batch disposition, including testing on in-process intermediates, final formulated bulk drug substance and final drug product
• Collaborate with Research and Product Development Department to troubleshoot and optimize current assays and future analytical methods
• Work closely with the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance department staff to resolve issues regarding the facility and products manufactured
• Prepare and maintain mammalian cell cultures
• Write or revise quality control Standard Operating Procedures
• Carry out Environmental Monitoring of manufacturing facility and relevant samples generated
• Coordinate with third party vendors to maintain calibration of equipment
• Work under minimal supervision to meet project goals
• Present data internally
• Receive and inspect materials

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
• Previous hands-on experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting
• 0 – 2 years of experience with any of the following applications: environmental monitoring, flow cytometry, western blotting, Immunoprecipitation, bioassays, ELISA and IHC/ICC
• 0 – 2 years of experience in sterile cell culture and other biological techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

• GMP experience
• QC or QA experience
• Experience in assay development and improvement
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to multi-task
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Salary range: $68,000-75,000K
