Job Description
Drive IND-enabling studies and support the advancement of our CNS-targeted therapeutic programs. This individual will lead key aspects of preclinical development, including study design, execution, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and execution of in vivo pharmacology studies to support discovery and IND-enabling research.
- Oversee bioanalytical strategy, including quantitative assays such as ELISA, MSD, qPCR, LC/MS, and histological methods to evaluate biodistribution, exposure, and pharmacodynamics.
- Serve as a key scientific lead in interactions with CROs, academic collaborators and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with development goals.
- Interpret data from preclinical studies and contribute to regulatory submissions, including IND packages.
- Manage and mentor junior scientists or research associates.
- Contribute to strategic planning for CNS programs, including evaluation of drug delivery platforms and therapeutic opportunities.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in pharmacology, neuroscience, bioengineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Extensive experience in drug development across discovery, preclinical, and IND-enabling stages
- Proven track record of IND-enabling study execution and data integration.
- Strong experience with large-molecule therapeutics (e.g., antibodies, oligonucleotides, peptides) in in vivo models.
- Deep understanding of bioanalytical techniques and their application in PK/PD and biodistribution studies.
- Experience in CNS drug delivery or CNS disease models is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor scientific staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
