Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer collaborates within a skilled and diverse team of engineers focused on innovating a new therapeutic system encompassing both durable equipment and disposable elements.


  • Lead the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical hardware for systems and products.
  • Design, prototype, and troubleshoot electrical hardware across all levels.
  • Work closely with Engineers for seamless system integration.
  • Identify and address risks associated with electrical designs and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Organize testing, compile results, and produce compliance reports.
  • Conduct design reviews and collect feedback throughout product development stages.
  • Perform verification testing and develop test methods and fixtures.
  • Support manufacturing manufacturing work instructions and functional test procedures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams.

Required Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering. Master's degree would be preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 10 years of practical experience in new product research and development within a regulated industry (e.g., Medical Devices, Automotive, Military, or Aerospace), with a preference for Medical Devices.
  • Proficiency in managing the full product lifecycle.
  • Previous exposure to the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device sectors is advantageous.
  • Prior vocational experience in related fields, such as co-op programs, internships, or fellowships, is a positive asset.


  • Experience in risk management is desirable.
  • Experience working in complex electromechanical systems. 
  • Strong problem solving skills, innovative, strong communicator, and curious.
  • Other experience in different simulation tools is advantageous.
