Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher/Staff Scientist
Job Number: 65041
Location: Piscataway, NJ, US
My platelet-omics research program integrating both ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ lab research at Stanford (CA) is transitioning to the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers University (NJ) in January 2024. We primarily leverage clinical samples in functional genomics studies and cell-based assays.
Posting ahead to recruit a motivated postdoctoral researcher or staff scientist with curiosity toward platelet and megakaryocyte biology, and expertise in molecular biology, cell signaling and omics data analysis.
Overall objective of the research is to uncover cross-functional roles of platelets (and parent megakaryocytes) in disease settings beyond their classical role in hemostasis and thrombosis (e.g. cancer, inflammation, infection). Research strategies include integrating multi-omics discovery with molecular, cellular and in vivo approaches. Immediate research goals are in mechanistic characterization as well as clinical laboratory validation of platelet multi-omic signatures derived from diverse patient cohorts.
Projects are highly collaborative across institutions.
