Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Biophysics
The Banerjee Lab at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team. Our lab focuses on the biophysical properties of biomolecular condensates and the material properties of biopolymers, including DNA and RNA. We employ cutting-edge techniques like optical trapping, fluorescence microscopy, and biological assays to investigate these systems.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and execution of research projects, analyzing data, and authoring of scientific publications. The specific responsibilities will depend on the applicant’s background and the project they join. However, general responsibilities include:
– Carrying out experimental work using techniques such as optical trapping, fluorescence microscopy, and developing biological assays.
– Data analysis and interpretation.
– Writing up results for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
– After initial training and acclimation period, mentorship and collaboration with other lab members will be expected.
– A PhD in a relevant field.
– Experience in an experimental biophysics or related lab is desirable.
– Strong written and oral communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
