Ninova Lab at the Biochemistry Department of UC Riverside (ninovalab.org) is looking for motivated and curiosity-driven postdocs to join our team. We are broadly interested in the molecular mechanisms of genome regulation in germ cells and early development, with an emphasis on piRNAs, heterochromatin, and transposon biology. Postdocs will take the lead in research employing cutting-edge biochemistry, molecular biology and ‘omics’ approaches, providing an outstanding opportunity for interdisciplinary training and career development. We welcome candidates interested in getting involved in existing projects in the lab, as well as those interested in pursuing new directions within the broad areas of our research.

UC postdoctoral scholars receive competitive compensation packages, including $65-77K annual salary (effective 10/2023) with guaranteed yearly increments, excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, family and medical leave, and are eligible to participate in retirement plans, among others. The initial contract is 2 years. 

Minimum qualifications: PhD in biological sciences; extensive experience with molecular biology methods; deep knowledge of biochemistry and genetics.

Preferred qualifications: experience with one or more of the following – bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, ChIP-seq/ CUT&RUN, proteomics, protein and RNA biochemistry, bioinformatics.
