Job Description

The Furukawa Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our team in advancing our understanding of neurotransmission, neuroplasticity, and cancer-associated autoimmunity targeting neurons. Our lab employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining structural biology techniques (e.g., cryo-EM, x-ray crystallography), electrophysiology (e.g., patch-clamp, neuronal recordings, bilayer electrophysiology), mouse models, behavioral assays, and a range of biochemical, molecular biological, and biophysical methods. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: patch-clamp or slice electrophysiology, structural biology (e.g., cryo-ET or single-particle cryo-EM focused on membrane proteins), or molecular neuroscience (e.g., mouse dissection, advanced imaging techniques).
