Job Title: Postdoctoral position in Molecular/Cellular Biology
Job Number: 56329
Location: San Francisco, US
Postdoctoral Position available in the Toczyski laboratory at UCSF.
Applicant can start anytime in the next 12 months.
While historically focused on yeast genetics, our lab currently uses CRISPR screening, as well as cell and molecular biology, to study how ubiquitin signaling impinges upon cellular processes. Current open projects include the study of novel regulators of the mitotic spindle. The candidate will work with a full-time technician on this project. As this project already has significant preliminary data, it will likely yield a publication in the near term. The Toczyski laboratory is a fun, dynamic and dedicated mix of technicians, students and postdocs. Previous mentees currently have laboratories at strong research universities, at liberal arts colleges and in industry.
The candidate should have a publication record showing productivity in some area of cell or molecular biology, but no specific experience is required.
See Hundley et al. Molecular Cell (2021) Mar 18;81(6):1319-1336 for a publication reflecting our recent work.
