Job Description
An NIH-funded Postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Department of Molecular Cell and Cancer Biology, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA, United States. The Cantor Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study DNA replication dynamics in response to genotoxic agents, relationship to genomic instability and cell death (Panzarino et al., Cancer Research 2020; Nayak et al., Science Advances 2020; Cong. et al., Molecular Cell 2021: Cong and Cantor Molecular Cell 2022). These projects will involve single molecule replication analysis, proteomics, CRISPR genome editing, and other state-of-the-art methods.
Dr. Cantor is the Associate Director of Basic Research, UMass Cancer Center, which provides an ideal setting for scientists to translate basic research ([Please click the Apply button for the link or email].) Dr. Cantor is also affiliated with the Institute for Drug Resistance that seeks to uniformly address the issue of drug resistance in the treatment of diverse syndromes from HIV, bacterial infections, and cancer [Please click the Apply button for the link or email].
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate, with a publication record in cancer and cell biology. Training in specific biomedical methods and techniques will be offered, however preference will be given to individuals with hands-on experience using current techniques associated with DNA damage and replication responses.
