Postdoctoral Position at Georgetown University.

Our lab is part of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Our research focuses on genomic and biochemical approaches to understanding signal-induced transcription regulation and RNA biology. Specific research projects include the role of Intrinsically Disordered Proteins in regulating transcriptional condensates, the involvement of RNAs in gene regulation, and the development of innovative cancer therapies.

Position Requirements

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in biological sciences with at least one first-authored peer-reviewed paper published in a reputable international journal.  A demonstrated experience in at least one of the following fields: molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and genomic tools. The research focuses on cancer, aging, and developmental biology. Candidates will have the opportunity to receive training in advanced computational tools.

Expecting laboratory tasks

·       Molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification.

·       High-resolution live-cell microscopy imaging and biophysical experiments.

·       Genomic assays, including ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, and single-cell sequencing tech.                 NGS-data analysis.

·       Mouse experiments related to cancer.

·       CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, CRISPR-screening.

·       Independent project lead. Mentor to junior lab members.

Salary and benefits.

The salary and benefits are as per NIH regulations and are commensurate with experience (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-24-104.html, which range between $61K – 74K per year). The position also offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and dependent coverage.
