Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow (Gene regulation in cancer and aging)
Job Number: 72154
Location: Washington, D.C, US
Are you seeking advanced training in signal-induced gene regulation in normal, cancerous, and aging cells? Are you interested in applying cutting-edge genomics and microscopy tools to study spatial gene control using mammalian cells and mouse models? If the answer to these questions is yes, please consider join our team. We are a group of scientists interested in the cell biology of gene control and in developing novel cancer therapeutics. We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to study the role of non-coding genomes in signal-activated gene programs. This project will employ an array of experimental tools, including NGS-based chromatin analyses, high-resolution imaging, CRISPR perturbations, and various biochemical tools. The study will use both in vitro systems and vertebrate model organisms. The multidisciplinary nature of the projects will expose the candidates to several cutting-edge technologies and facilitate their growth as independent and innovative thinkers.
Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences. Prior experience in molecular biology, genomics, or animal models is highly preferred. Individuals will have the opportunity to obtain training on computational tools to analyze imaging and genomics data. Applicants must have good quality, peer-reviewed publications as the first author in internationally recognized journals. There will be dedicated mentorship and opportunities for scientific and professional growth.
