Position Description
The dos Santos group at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellow position to investigate the transcription control of normal and malignant mammary gland development. Within the context of a research study funded by the NCI, the successful applicant will focus on studying molecular signals that modulate cellular states, behavior and the development of mammary tumors in clinically relevant mouse models and 3D organoid systems, utilizing an array of single cell and bulk genomic approaches.
The dos Santos lab promotes and supports a safe and inclusive environment for the advancement of trainees of all races, ethnicities, abilities and identities. Our interdisciplinary research team has extensive expertise on normal mammary gland development, mouse models of breast cancer, bioinformatics, single cell analysis, and murine- and human-derived breast organoids. We offer opportunities for trainees to develop writing skills, scientific outreach, and mentorship of high school and undergraduate students. From a scientific perspective, we emphasize the conduct of innovative, rigorous and reproducible research, and promote collaborative opportunities, as the mean to support leadership and career development opportunities.
Position Requirements
Applicants should have a PhD with background in, but not limited to, molecular/cell biology, and be comfortable working with mice. Experience with manuscript preparation, cell culture, western blot, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, genomics and bioinformatics are also encouraged. Opportunities for translational studies with clinician collaborators are also available.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). The salary for the role is $70,000 per annum.
