Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow – Dopamine transporter and THC
Job Number: 71605
Location: Gainesville Florida, US
We are seeking a committed postdoc to be part of an enthusiastic team investigating the mechanism of THC modulation of dopamine transporter (DAT) biology and its impact on methamphetamine regulation of dopamine transmission in the dorsal and ventral striatum. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn and master in vivo and ex vivo imaging approaches, such as calcium imaging and dLight1, driving innovative research. While we invite all motivated candidates to apply, those with experience in survival stereotaxic surgery, GRIN lens implantation, and advanced image analysis will be particularly valuable, as they can seamlessly integrate into ongoing projects without the need for additional training. This is more than a mere position—it is a gateway to making a significant impact on our understanding of dopamine’s role in the brain. We are eager to welcome a colleague who is passionate about collaborative science and eager to contribute to our collective goals.
