Job Description

An open position in the Lowance Center for Human Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine. The candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team of researchers, including immunologists, bioinformaticians, and physician-scientists.  

The Project: The candidate will lead projects on human immunology recently funded by the Gates Foundation and the National Institutes of Health in the Ghosn Lab. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art technologies on multi-omics single-cell sequencing assays and Hi-D flow cytometry. The project is focused on human B cells and antibody-secreting cells (or plasma cells), using donor samples and in vivo and ex vivo models. The results from your project should provide new insights into the development and function of the human immune system in infants and adults and impact the development of new vaccine strategies targeted to children or adults. In addition, your studies will shed light on the mechanisms that lead to autoimmunity and other hematological disorders that are predominant at different developmental ages. The Ghosn lab members also have access to resources from our affiliated institutions, Emory Vaccine Center, Emory Primate Center, Georgia Tech, Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital, Lowance Center for Human Immunology, etc.
