Job Title: Postdoctoral Associate in Genetics/Genomics at Yale

Job Number: 88825

Location: New Haven, US

Job Description

The Lake Lab is seeking a motivated postdoc to join our growing team in the Yale University Center of Genomic Health and Department of Genetics. Our lab uses computational and experimental methods to understand how human genetic variation underlies health and disease, across rare and common phenotypes, with a focus on the mitochondrial genome. We also prioritize translating our research into practical tools that benefit research and clinical communities (e.g. Lake et al, Nature, 2024).

We are looking for a postdoc to spearhead computational projects that will develop and apply cutting-edge approaches for analyzing genetic variants in mitochondrial and nuclear genomes, and their role in disease. Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The lab is located in the Yale School of Medicine which offers an outstanding training environment for postdoctoral scientists, with state-of-the-art research facilities and vast resources to support professional development. For more information about our lab, past publications and our research please see our website: https://www.thelakelab.org/
