Job Number: 83986

Location: Nashville, US

Job Description

The Neuert Lab at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a highly motivated Ph.D.-level researcher to join our team. Our lab focuses on quantitatively understanding the fundamental molecular mechanisms of signal transduction and gene regulation in single cells. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in computational and experimental single-cell biology, with a focus on signaling or transcription.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, with strong skills in computational and/or experimental quantitative biology.
  • Proven track record of research, evidenced by first-author publications.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: computational biology, ODE modeling, next-generation sequencing analysis, single-molecule biology, single-cell biology, time-lapse microscopy, or flow cytometry.
  • Basic quantitative training, including programming skills.

Role:

  • Combine cell biological training with quantitative approaches to investigate how environmental changes impact cellular phenotypes, signaling, and gene expression in single cells.

What We Offer:

  • Training in single-cell biology, quantitative biology, complex data analysis, and novel experimental design.
  • An exciting, interdisciplinary, and well-funded research environment with strong mentoring and career development support.
