Job Description
The Rubenstein Lab in the Department of Pediatrics, Washington University School of Medicine, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work on projects related to the mechanisms of action of molecular chaperones on the biogenesis of proteins and ion channels relevant to pediatric pulmonary diseases and their complications.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group within a developing research center focused on cystic fibrosis, pediatric pulmonary biology, and asthma. Post-doctoral or Staff Scientist applicants should have a PhD, MD or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree in a related field, such as such as biochemistry, cellular and/or molecular biology, physiology or pharmacology and a strong background in techniques relevant to these fields. Additional experience with advanced imaging, electrophysiology, or proteomic techniques helpful but not required.
