Job Description
A biotech company is seeking a Patent Agent to support IP strategy and portfolio development in the field of gene editing. Reporting to the IP lead, this role involves close collaboration with scientists and legal team members to help protect the company’s platform and pipeline in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

Support the legal team through scientific research and analysis of technical documents.

Collaborate with scientists to understand new inventions and assist with patent filings.

Conduct patent and literature searches to support prosecution, counseling, and litigation.

Draft and prosecute patent applications under attorney supervision.
Required Skills

PhD in a life science field required; USPTO registration required

Minimum 1 year of patent agent experience in life sciences

Preferred experience with gene editing and CRISPR technologies

Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
