Position Summary:
Seeking a talented and motivated In-Vivo Scientist to join our research team. This role is crucial in advancing our preclinical programs by designing and executing in-vivo experiments that evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic candidates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metabolic disease research, proficiency in animal models, and a passion for translating scientific discoveries into real-world solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Experimental Design & Execution: Contribute to the design, plan, and execution of in-vivo experiments to assess the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and therapeutic efficacy of novel compounds.
- Animal Model Management: Utilize and manage various animal models of obesity and metabolic disorders to evaluate potential therapies. Ensure compliance with all relevant ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and generate comprehensive reports. Utilize statistical tools and software to ensure robust and accurate analysis.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including biology, chemistry and clinical to integrate in-vivo data with other research findings.
- Innovation: Contribute to the development of new research strategies and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of preclinical studies.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of experiments, observations, and results. Prepare and present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all in-vivo research activities adhere to institutional and governmental regulations and guidelines for animal welfare.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in Pharmacology, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in in-vivo research with a focus on obesity, metabolic disorders, or related areas.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of animal models and techniques used in obesity research, including but not limited to metabolic assays, behavioral studies, and tissue analysis.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in statistical software and data interpretation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Desired:
- Experience in the following areas: neuroscience and in vivo neuroscience-based approaches including perfusion, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence and bright field microscopy, and image analysis.
