Job Description

  • Support the broader team for outlining and realizing the company’s growth strategy, translating this vision into a sales strategy, including critical success factors, objectives, actions plans, process documentation, organizational structure.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align the sales strategy with the strategic marketing plan
  • Through your professional network and your good understand of the company's products and services, you will have full accountability to establish and maintain influential relationships with board members and decision makers to help them to fulfill their commercial manufacturing strategy
  • You will develop a sales plan in line with the specific needs of each sales territory.
  • You will identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities, understand the client’s needs, and translate them into a technical and commercial services proposal
  • You will manage all the aspects of of a deal, from contract negotiation up to the deal closing.
  • You will provide input to management for new service developments as well as outlining any  gaps in our offering.


  • Plan, develop and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with existing customers.
  • Lead and motivate team to improve customer service with clients.
  • Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
  • Estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products.
  • Drive key projects with high potential to grow them into substantial business
  • Provide inputs from a sales perspective to identify and resolve critical issues pertaining to API business in key governance committees
  • Effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders such as quality, regulatory, project management, production, and supply chain to ensure timely service to customer
  • Participate in pharma exhibitions and forums to network and enhance the brand image of the company
  • Ability to meet or exceed yearly orders and revenues targets
  • Maintain and actively develop a pipeline of new opportunities, utilizing Salesforce
  • Provide comprehensive reports and updates to leadership on a regular basis
  • Monitor competitive landscape, market trends, and maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics

Required Skills

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a Management, Technical or Engineering field
  • +10 years professional experience in business development or sales, including senior leadership roles 
  • Proven experience in technical instrumentation, pharmaceutical, medical device, life science/digital health domain with long sales cycles
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize actions and goals and successfully move sales through the pipeline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to deliver key messages to internal and external audiences including the C-Suite
  • Proven track record in presenting and leading technical and business discussions with a large Pharma and CDMOs.
  • Ability to network with C-Level decision makers
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual a plus.
  • Self-motivated and interested in start-up companies/SMEs 
  • Have a strong network in worldwide or regional life sciences preferred
  • Ability to travel 50%-70%
