Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Program Management, this role will be key in organizing and advancing critical portfolio programs, supporting timely decision-making, and contributing to overall program strategy. The individual will work with program leaders to develop integrated drug discovery and development plans for advancing oncology candidates into clinical development. This position involves ensuring alignment, overseeing program execution at the organization and with CROs, and promoting team collaboration.

Responsibilities

* Lead program management for small molecule cancer therapeutics from development candidate selection to clinical Proof of Concept (POC) and full development. * Support strategy development with program leader and team, overseeing activities in lead optimization, pharmacology, toxicology, ADME studies, preclinical work, drug supply, formulation, and clinical operations. * Guide the team through clinical development, creating and executing integrated clinical plans, assessing accelerated approval scenarios, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, clinical operations, safety, and regulatory teams. * Monitor program progress, resolve resource constraints, support portfolio management, and track program goals and metrics. * Facilitate program meetings, document plans, and ensure alignment across teams. * Identify and resolve program-related issues, foster team effectiveness, and ensure smooth execution. * Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills

* Bachelor’s degree required. * Minimum 10 years of relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience. * At least 3 years in a program management role. * Hands-on experience in leading program management for early or full clinical development. * Experience in at least one pharmaceutical development function (e.g., Research, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, CMC). * Oncology development experience preferred. * Strong leadership, team-building, and cross-functional influencing skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present complex information clearly. * Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and ability to handle complexity. * Risk management and contingency planning experience preferred. * Experience with budget management preferred. * Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project). * PMP certification a plus.
