Job Description

Tango Therapeutics is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee Tango’s full cycle contract management process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the contracts management process from request initiation, contract drafting, review, execution, and filing within company’s contract management system
  • Coordinate meetings to discuss proposals with partners and Tango scientists. Assist with the negotiation of CDAs, MSAs, agreement renewals, and amendments with input from legal, finance, and business stakeholders
  • Help parties finalize statements of work with project plans and budgets. Ensure that appropriate specifications, communication plans, and deliverables, including data reporting requirements, are clearly outlined in relevant documents
  • Manage the approval, signature, and archiving processes
  • Maintain Tango’s contract management system. Actively monitor agreements for amendments and renewals
  • Maintain and improve contract templates for incorporation of best contracting practices and provisions
  • Mitigate and resolve issues in a timely manner as required
  • Help department heads to identify suitable CROs and, in collaboration with subject matter experts, conduct CRO due diligence by ensuring compliance with Tango’s quality systems for selecting and managing external vendors

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-years of direct contract management experience in life sciences
  • Experience using and managing a contract management software system
  • Strong understanding of legal terms and conditions in contracts
  • Business acumen with strong financial negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in management of external CROs and familiarity with CRO marketplace a plus
