Job Description

We seek a detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee contract management. Responsibilities include providing legal support, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various agreements. The ideal candidate should have strong contract law knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and effective communication and collaboration abilities.


  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including non-disclosure, clinical trial, master service, supply, manufacturing, licensing, material transfer, consulting, advisory boards, collaborations, and vendor services.
  • Understand legal contract concepts, negotiation strategies, and efficient contract administration.
  • Collaborate with General Counsel and Legal Department.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare contract drafts and conduct negotiations.
  • Interface with internal management and external parties for contract specifications.
  • Manage negotiation processes for various contracts.
  • Communicate contract policies and highlight concerns.
  • Initiate required follow-up and additional analyses.
  • Lead projects and review contracts as needed.
  • Oversee contract templates.
  • Assist with client training on policies and contract processes.
  • Relay industry-relevant information to clients.
  • Address legal concerns with stakeholders and third parties.
  • Comply with regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a proactive and positive attitude.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or related field, or Paralegal Certification with 3-5 years' contract management experience; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years in corporate legal (medical devices, pharma, biotech preferred); law firm experience considered.
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries preferred.
  • Vocational experience (Co-Ops, Internships, Fellowships) is a plus.
  • Handling various contracts, preferably in medical device/biotech/pharma.
  • Working with sophisticated clients, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing projects.
  • Knowledge of contract law and relevant healthcare laws.
  • Independent judgment in advising clients and decision-making.
  • Effective negotiation and communication at all levels.
  • High ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking.
  • Leadership in fast-paced projects.
  • Innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Team player and collaborator.
  • No regular travel required.
