Job Description
One or two post-doctoral positions are available in computational neuroscience in the Hiratani lab at the Washington University School of Medicine. Our laboratory seeks to uncover the fundamental principles underlying learning and computation in the brain from the interface between the brain and artificial intelligence. The research topics include synaptic plasticity and credit assignment, computational connectomics, neural and behavioral data analysis, and structured knowledge processing. Candidates should possess a strong mathematical and/or computational background and hold a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience, statistics, computer science, physics, math, or a related field. Previous experience in computational neuroscience is a plus but not required.
Our laboratory resides in the new 11-story neuroscience research building, where many collaboration opportunities with excellent experimental laboratories are available.
