Seeking a motivated Associate or Senior Associate Scientist/Engineer to support guide RNA synthesis. This hands-on role involves executing experiments to produce high-purity long guide RNAs, including synthesis, deprotection, purification, and enzymatic ligation. The position requires working in a well-equipped chemistry lab, presenting data in team meetings, and collaborating across functions to advance programs toward clinical development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform solid-phase synthesis, deprotection, purification, and delivery of guide RNAs for in vitro and in vivo studies.
  • Work independently after initial training, using equipment such as RNA synthesizers, chromatography systems, and analytical instruments.
  • Support high-throughput guide RNA production for various programs.
  • Review scientific protocols to enhance productivity and RNA synthesis quality.
  • Present experimental data in internal team meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Plan and execute experiments in collaboration with the manager.
  • Ensure safe laboratory practices and maintain a secure working environment.
  • Keep detailed records in an electronic notebook and project reports.
  • Stay engaged and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (0-4+ years) or Master’s degree (0-2+ years) in chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience with RNA synthesis, chemical deprotection, and oligonucleotide purification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques such as UPLC, LC-MS, and UV-Vis is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and adapt.
