Responsibilities
● Lead the design and development of acoustophoretic systems, including acoustic transducers, resonators, and flow cells. ● Perform simulations and modeling of acoustic fields to optimize system performance. ● Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration and compatibility with integrated instruments. ● Develop and implement testing protocols for evaluating the performance and reliability of acoustophoretic systems. ● Analyze and interpret experimental data to refine system designs and troubleshoot issues. ● Stay updated with the latest advancements in acoustics and acoustophoresis to guide research and development. ● Provide technical leadership in acoustics and system design. ● Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for acoustophoretic system development.
Required Skills
● Masterʼs, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. ● Minimum of 4 years of experience in acoustics engineering, with a strong background in acoustophoresis. ● Expertise in acoustic modeling tools such as COMSOL or equivalent simulation software. ● Experience in designing, building, and testing acoustic systems, particularly for particle manipulation. ● Familiarity with transducer technology, acoustic wave propagation, and fluid-structure interactions. ● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. ● Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to diverse teams. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience with integrating acoustophoretic systems into larger platforms or industrial applications. ● Familiarity with electronics and signal processing for acoustic systems. ● Background in microfluidics, biomedical applications, or related fields.
